Jean Tarleton (June 2, 1932 - January 29, 2020) came from the generation of women who had fewer career choices than women do today, and who primarily served their families in the traditional role of wife and mother. She was happily devoted to her family, however she wished she had the opportunity for an education and a career.
With her boundless love and support her daughter was able to matriculate, becoming the first in the family to obtain an education. At her death, her daughter informally seeded the first scholarship in her memory.
During her MBA studies the award-winning idea was formalized with a focus on empowering many more people and organizations in construction and the skilled trades.
The idea grew rapidly.
These are the humble beginnings of our tiny revolution, which has become a large community, and we welcome you!
